Cool Shell™ Products

COOL SHELL™ TECHNOLOGY

This innovative Cool Shell™ (CS) technology is based on a brick which is manufactured with two distinct zones or layers. The back face of the brick is engineered to enhance its insulation properties thanks to raw materials with lower bulk density and increased porosity whilst still maintaining its refractory properties to retain its integrity and security.
The hot face of the brick is unchanged and reflects the same high standard of quality and performance as a standard product.
The two parts of the CS brick are held together by a strong ceramic bond, equivalent in strength to all the bonding throughout the brick and has been proven to remain intact, after very long production campaigns.
